Natural Dyes--Champagne Over Beets

Trying my hand at natural dyes, I turned to a couple of cans of beets. Thought I'd get a yummy, rich, beety color. Instead, it turned out to look more like champagne. It seems that just because a food stains doesn't mean it also dyes well. And so begins a new journey of discovery.
